Yessica Porras

I’m Yessica Porras, an art historian, photographer, and textile artist. My research in Latin American colonial conventual art sparked my interest in embroidery, meditation, and introspection. After earning my doctoral degree from UC Berkeley, I embarked on a journey out of a dark tunnel; after years of study, life lost its luster. Paradoxically, the artworks of the nuns from my past have inspired and given purpose to my present. I am also constantly motivated to create by the landscapes of the San Francisco Bay Area; its seas, mountains, and forests. My background in art history, combined with my embroidery work, enables me to create unique mixed-media pieces. In these works, paper, light, fabric, and thread transform into beautiful artworks ready to fill your space with tenderness, complexity, and light.

Laura Porras

I’m Laura, an artist, designer, and lifelong creator.

My work is a blend of the mystical and symbolic, shaped by my love for tattoos and nature.

Illustration has always been one of my most honest forms of self-expression, and after years of bringing other people’s ideas to life, I’m finally giving myself the space to share my own.

In this shop, you’ll find prints, illustrations, and tees that carry meaning and emotion.  My hope is that when you visit this space, you feel inspired and that every piece you choose feels unique, authentic, and created with intention.

Thanks for supporting my art and being part of this creative journey.
